FREE STEAM Enrichment Classes
Our School Site Council approved funding for after school STEAM enrichment coding and robotics classes here at Enadia! We also purchased a 3D printer so that students can print prototypes of the projects they coded. I’m thrilled that our partner, Computerwisekids, has the staff and expertise to teach these classes! Please see the attached flyer with the application QR code. We are offering Coding classes (1st-5th) every Monday (beginning 11/1) from 3-4:00 and Robotics classes (3rd-5th) every Thursday (beginning 11/4) from 3-4:00. The application is due by 10/29! Space is limited!

Inclement Weather
Please be aware that due to COVID-19 restrictions for unvaccinated children, the District is requiring that all students eat and drink outdoors while their masks are removed. This is very challenging when it’s raining outside! On Monday we lucked out that the hard rainfall occurred after the students had finished eating. Students in TK-2nd take turns eating outside at the picnic table by their classroom and then play games in the room. There isn’t enough space for them to all eat at once. The students in 3rd-5th eat outside in the lunch pavilion and then watch cartoons in the MPR when they are finished eating. It is really not an ideal situation at all if it is raining very hard or extremely windy and/or smokey. I will make the best judgement call that I can based on current weather circumstances. Please make sure your children are dressed appropriately for inclement weather.

More Than A Meal Application Campaign
This is the last week for the meal applications! The classes with the highest participation rate will get popsicles on Monday, 11/1! So far Mrs. Gonzalez-Rubio’s class is in the lead with 100% participation!  To apply, go to https://parentportalapp.lausd.net Log in to your Parent Portal Account, Click on student’s name, then you will click on Online Forms & Applications. Click on School Meal Application and submit.

Halloween Parade, 10/29 from 8:30-9:00
Parents who are approved volunteers and have gone through the volunteer application process with LAUSD will be on campus assisting with the parade.
Students come to school at 8:00 dressed in their Halloween costume (with Enadia uniform or spirit wear underneath)-NO TOY WEAPONS!
Parents will line up along the Enadia Way fence (outside of the school) facing the large grassy field and track.
At 8:30, all of the children will be on the large grassy field. Each grade level span performs a Halloween dance and will then parade around the track with the students on the grassy field cheering them on.
Students whose parents do not want their children to participate in Halloween-type activities will be in the library with Miss Wendy for the duration of the parade. Please let the classroom teacher know your wishes ahead of time.
Students will then take off their costumes (with uniform underneath) and put them in their backpacks for the remainder of the day. Please make sure that your child knows how to take off and put their costume away by themselves.
Students must wear their facemasks at all times during the parade.

CHOICES Application Window is open!
The application window is open for 2022 school enrollment from 10/1-11/12! Do you have an incoming TKer or Kindergartener for the next school year? Do you have a 5th grader who will be in middle school next year? If you are interested in a magnet or affiliated charter that is not your school of residence, you must apply through the Unified Enrollment CHOICES application. Go to https://GoTo.LAUSD.net to apply.
