Thank you to all of the parents for attending, and thank you to the teachers for being prepared and accommodating special requests! This year, we had a 91% parent attendance rate for conferences, down from last year’s 96%. Two classes, Mrs. Paniagua’s k/1st class and Mrs. Hazan's 1st grade, had 100% of parents attend. Please remember that conferences are mandatory. The teachers really look forward to meeting with parents and discussing student progress. Students really do look forward to their parent’s learning about all of their successes. The next conference period is the first week of March. We look forward to sharing your child’s successes with you.
School Experience Survey Update
Believe it or not, for a second year in a row, Enadia Way had 100% of parents, 4/5 students, and staff participate in the survey! Thank you so much for your participation and support! I look forward to seeing the results so that our school can continually improve for the betterment of all! Please make sure to sign and return the permission slip for the movie, The Lion King (2019), to be viewed on Monday, December 9. Students without a permission slip will be unable to watch the movie because it is rated “PG”.
Follett Book Fair, 12/9-12/13
One more week until the Enadia Way book fair! Please plan to do some of your Hanukkah and Christmas shopping this week! The book fair will be open during and after school every day and before school on Friday. Please see the attached schedule. The funds are used to purchase new books for our school library. Please make sure that cash is sealed in an envelope with your child’s name! Please give your children guidance as to what they can purchase on their own (books vs. lots of trinkets).
Winter Concert, 12/17 @ 8:30 a.m.
Hopefully, you have heard your children practicing their winter concert songs at home! They are practicing for our annual Winter Concert with our talented teachers here at school! All of the classes will be performing two songs each. Please line up early as doors open at 8:15 a.m. and seating is first come, first serve. Please, no saving seats except for members of your immediate family. We do have several seats that accommodate wheelchairs, however there is no guarantee that members of the same family will be able to sit together.
Dress: Children are expected to be dressed nicely. Dark pants/skirts and white tops are appropriate. Children may wear holiday dresses/dress clothes on this day. As always, shoes should be closed toed/heeled and appropriate for winter weather. As always, your children may wear their nicest uniforms if you do not have anything special that you would like for them to wear. Please no torn or dirty clothes. Every year we have children crying when they see everyone dressed in festive clothing and/or in certain attire based on chosen songs, but they are not! As always, we will assume that however you send your children dressed is how you want the audience to see them. Please look for communication from your child’s teacher regarding accessories or certain dress items.
Lost & Found
Please stop by the Lost & Found (by cafeteria) and retrieve lost items. All remaining items will be bagged and donated to charity on 12/20!
Restaurant Night at Chick-fil-A!
Restaurant Night will be on Thursday, December 19 at Chick-fil-A (Victory & Fallbrook) Chick-fil-A will give our school 10% of their net sales between these hours (5:00pm-8:00pm) at the time of order, customers must show the fundraiser flyer so we can get credit. Please stop by anytime within these hours to dine in or order out to help our school raise money for our Student Body!
