Vigilante Neighbor Strikes Again!

The safety of our students and staff is my number one priority. Please be aware that when you are driving in the neighborhood around our school you must follow all traffic laws.  The vigilante neighbor is back at it! He lives in the house at the stop sign of Lena and Gault. On two occasions in the last two weeks he has chased female drivers in his red work truck to our school drop off zone. In each case he blocked the offending driver with his truck in the cone zone and then proceeds to yell at the driver and then the TA opening the doors for the children for not somehow enforcing parent’s driving habits. This behavior is totally unacceptable and has been reported to the police.  If you happen to witness this obnoxious behavior, or are a victim of it, please call the police immediately and let me know. As always, please drive safely and obey all traffic laws!

Lottery Application Window open

If you have an incoming kindergartner, or know of anyone who would like to attend our school next year, the lottery application window is now open! Please remember, only newly enrolling families who live in our attendance area may attend Enadia, all others must apply for the lottery. This includes current Enadia families who have either moved out of our area, or applied through the lottery in past years, and would like to enroll a new student. Continuing enrollment students need not reapply!

What’s New this Month at Enadia Way

  1. Your kids may be pestering you for money for “Valentine’s grams.” Our Student Council is selling grams before school in the Main Office, and during recess and lunch outside Mrs. Cope’s room. The Valentines will be delivered on Valentine’s Day. Proceeds go to our Student Body Account.
  2. Assemblies: K-2 will enjoy the very professional Kaiser Permanente production of “Jay and E and the Zig Zag Sea” this Monday in honor of the 100th Day of School. Next Tuesday, 2/13, all students will enjoy “Extreme Energy” which is a science assembly.
  3. A. Opera: All parents are welcome to join us on 2/28 at 1:30 for the L.A. Opera’s production of “The Marriage of Figueroa” here at our school. Our 4th graders will be performing with the opera as a culmination of several weeks of in-school opera classes. This is a brand new production and I can’t wait to see it!

Canoga Park Family of Schools

This year, each high school is hosting its own “STEAM Fest” type event. Please see the attached flyer for ours. We will join Canoga Park High School on 2/24 for their annual Showcase and Pancake Breakfast. Our booth this year will feature Computer Wise Kids and our technology program. This is a great opportunity to see all of the wonderful schools showcased in the Canoga Park complex. Tickets are available at our front office, each ticket is $6.00.
