Enrollment
To enroll in Kindergarten your child must have a birthdate on or between 9/2/18-9/1/19. To enroll in Universal TK your child's birthday must be between 9/2/19-9/1/20.
- Step 1: Verify what is your school of residence: o To verify that you live within Enadia Way Technology Charter Elementary School’s boundaries, please enter your home address into the LAUSD Resident School Identifier
- Students who reside within Enadia Way’s boundaries have first admission preference and do not participate in the lottery.
If Enadia Way is your Resident School
- Step 2: Pick up an Enrollment Packet:
- o Resident families may pick up enrollment packets from the Main Office beginning May 1, 2024.
- Step 3: Return Completed Enrollment Packet (see the attachment below for a list of required documents):
- Resident families are encouraged to register new students as soon as possible after May 1, 2024. Please do not wait!
- Return completed packets before June 21, 2024, or when the office re-opens on July 24, 2024, between 7:30am-3:30pm.
- Incomplete enrollment packets will not be
- If your child is scheduled to receive immunizations after June 28, 2024, and before the beginning of school, you may submit an incomplete enrollment packet accompanied by a
doctor’s note stating when the missing immunizations will be administered. Students may not start school unless all required immunizations have been administered (including Universal TK). Please schedule pediatric appointments well in advance of the school year starting. Only students with complete enrollment packets will be allowed to enroll in YDP (after-school care), as space is limited.
If Enadia Way is NOT your Resident School, the application period begins October 3 -
November 18 for the following school year. You may apply to any affiliated charter using
the Unified Enrollment "Choices" application during this application window. Families who are not accepted, or miss the 11/18 deadline, may submit a late application to be placed on the waitlist. The CHOICES late application window opens on February 1.

Step 3: Lottery Preferences and Procedures
- In conducting its admissions lottery, Enadia Way Technology Charter Elementary shall provide the following admission preferences, in the stated order of priority:
- LAUSD Students have first
- Siblings - Prospective students who (a) are siblings of students enrolled in grades TK - 4 at Enadia Way at the time of the lottery and (b) reside within LAUSD boundaries, but not within the attendance boundaries of Enadia Way Technology Charter Elementary, shall have second admission preference.
- Other LAUSD Students - All other prospective students who reside within LAUSD boundaries, but not within the attendance boundaries of Enadia Way, shall
have third admission preference.
California Students
- Siblings - Prospective students who (a) are siblings of students enrolled in grades TK - 4 at Enadia Way Technology Charter Elementary at the time of the lottery and (b) reside in the State of California but not within LAUSD boundaries, shall have fourth admissions preference.
- Any other TK-5 th grade students who reside within California (but outside LAUSD’s boundaries), shall have the fifth and final admissions preference.
Note: At whichever point in the process a twin or triplet is selected, the status applies to the other twin/triplet as well.
Students who participate in the lottery but are not selected for admission during the lottery shall be placed on a waitlist in the same priority order as above. As seats become available, Enadia Way Technology Charter Elementary shall fill the seats from the waitlist. This waitlist shall be effective until the end of the programmatic year to which it pertains.
During the month of February, after receiving the list of interested applicants from Unified Enrollment, Enadia Way Technology Charter Elementary will conduct its public random drawing (lottery) for non-resident boundary students only, if applicable.
Enadia Way will hold the lottery via Zoom and in person, on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 9:00 am. Any interested party or member of the public may attend, but attendance is not required to participate in the lottery. The Zoom Meeting ID will be published on our website in advance of the public lottery.
· Step 4: Notification of Acceptance
- Parents of applicants being offered admission through the lottery will be notified in writing by email or mail, depending on the method of application submission within one month following the lottery, and will be provided three weeks to accept the offered seat.
- Parents of student applicants who are placed on the waitlist resulting from the lottery may call or visit the school to find out their child’s priority number on the waitlist. Parents of student applicants on the waitlist who are offered admission at any time subsequent to the lottery will receive notification by telephone call and will have to contact the parent/guardian a minimum of three times to accept the offered seat.
- Non-resident boundary students who apply for admission after the On-Time application window will be added to the bottom of the waitlist in the order in which their applications are
received. Choices Late Applications are processed on a first come, first-served basis beginning February 1, 2024 through norm day of the following school year.
- Enadia Way Technology Charter Elementary will contact waitlisted and late applicants. There is no need to call the office to find out of your child has been offered a spot.
- April 12, 2024 is the deadline for parents to "accept" o "decline" an offer of If parents do not make a choice, they will be automatically "declined" on April 12.
- Step 5: Return Completed Enrollment Packet Once Accepted (see the attachment below for a list of required documents):
